CSV to Markdown: questions and answers
Does it work with semicolon- or tab-separated files?
Yes. The delimiter is detected automatically, so comma, semicolon and tab-separated files all produce a Markdown table.
What if a value contains commas or pipe characters?
Quoted values that contain the delimiter stay in one cell, and pipe characters (|) are escaped as \| so they do not break the Markdown table.
Which row becomes the table header?
The first line of the file is used as the header row of the Markdown table.
